The challenges of meeting Net-Zero Emissions Accountability Act‘s target are significant, given that Canada’s per-capita emissions are well above the G20 average.
“The Net-Zero for Materials and Manufacturing (Net0MM) training program is designed to equip students with research and entrepreneurial skills in making materials and manufacturing processes cleaner to meet Canada’s net zero target by 2050.”
In Canada’s manufacturing sector, the cost of changing practices to meet net zero is in the tens of billions of dollars and most have yet to develop a plan. We recognize the potential of innovation in materials and manufacturing, to deliver lower carbon footprint products and processes.

With research dedicated to address climate change, trainings on life cycle assessments, and entrepreneurial skills, our goal is to stimulate interdisciplinary research, trainings and mentorship in the fields of energy, materials and manufacturing.
