Our Commitment
The Net0MM team is committed to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive research and training environment to create innovation and drive impactful research outcomes that advance knowledge and understanding. To uphold this commitment, an EDI.I committee team has been established, to adhere and address the NSERC Tri-agency Statement on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and the Tri-agency Action Plan. Primarily, the EDI.I committee will act as a conduit between overarching EDI initiatives and unit-level EDI committees.
Action Plan:
To integrate EDI.I principles into our training program, the team will focus on the following key pathways:
- Ensuring our cohort reflects the rich diversity of Canada’s population and providing feedback to co-PIs regarding trainees’ selection;
- Overseeing the development and adoption of a tailored code of conduct at the program level to both faculty and trainees;
- Reviewing and providing constructive feedback regarding list of invited speakers, panelists and industry partners to ensure alignment to our EDI.I commitment.
